I administered all new construction and design for over 300 firehouses and support buildings for the New York City Fire Department. I managed an in-house staff of 10 people consisting of assistant architects, construction managers, and support staff. I worked with numerous consultants: architects, engineers and construction managers, in the implementation of over half a Billion dollars of construction and design.
SPECIAL PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES:
FDNY representative supervising all design and construction of 40 new Emergency Medical Stations. Budget $50,000,000.
Design of the building prototype for 40 new FDNY Emergency Medical Stations. FDNY absorbed the Emergency Medical Service in June 1996.
Design and construction management of 14 complete firehouse renovation projects. These projects are at various stages of completion. Budget $70,000,000.
FDNY representative supervising all design and construction for 3 new firehouses. Budget $24,000,000.
FDNY representative supervising all programming, design, and construction for the new Fire Department Headquarters, Brooklyn, N.Y. Interior fit-out $26,000,000.
FDNY representative supervising all programming, design, and construction for the implementation of the new FDNY training facility and complete renovation of all the historical buildings at Fort Totten, Queens, N.Y. The FDNY has recently taken over custody of the 100-acre complex. Budget $50,000,000.
FDNY representative supervising all programming, design, and construction for 5 total gut renovation projects at the 5 Borough communication buildings and the implementation of the new dispatch system (Star Fire II). Budget $35,000,000.
FDNY representative supervising all programming, design, and construction for the implementation of the new FDNY training buildings at Randall’s Island. Budget $45,000,000.
